about nostos dance theater

Nostos Tanztheater was formed in 1989 by two independant dancers. The company has produced nine acclaimed dance pieces, which have toured in Germany. The company is led by Christina Liakopoyloy (Greece), working with elements of modern dance and classical ballet.

Company structure

Each new production is completely different from its predecessors. Nostos Tanztheater doesn´t have a permanent group of performers. Each new work is cast according to its content. The company works with trained dancers, although actors and musicians took part in the productions; normally on stage there will be 3 or 4 performers. Work is not kept in repertory.

choreographical  theater. Pictures about work and life of the american poetress Anne Sexton.

'The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone' (1996)
dance piece based on a  novel by   Tennessee Williams.

'Notre-Dame-des-Fleurs' (1994)
dance piece based on a  novel by Jean Genet.

'murderer' (1992 / 1993)
dance piece based on a  novel by A. Papadiamantis.

'charade' (1990 / 1991)
9 short pieces for 2 dancers.

'Tango Apasionado' (1990 / 1991)
dedicated to Astor Piazzolla.
